What does the image mean? (What does the sign intend for the viewer to do when he/she sees it?)
Where is usually found?
 This image or media file contains material based on a work of aNational Park Service employee, created as part of that person's official duties.a division of the Department of the Interior, created in 1916, that administers national parks, monuments, historic sites, and recreational areas. The National Park Service (NPS) is an agency of the United States federal government that manages all U.S. national parks, many American national monuments, and other conservation and historical properties with various title designations

In a few brief sentences, please explain what exactly do the stars, stripes, and colors present in the official flag of the United States of America symbolize?"The colors of the pales (the vertical stripes) are those used in the flag of the United States of America; White signifies purity and innocence, Red, hardiness & valour, and Blue, the color of the Chief (the broad band above the stripes) signifies vigilance, perseverance & justice."

(1) Defining terms related to concepts in Visual Communication; for each term do the following:

- Alphabet:*noun*

1. the letters of a language in their customary order.

-Street sign:
Noun 1. street sign - a sign visible from the street   
sign - a public display of a message; "he posted signs in all the shop windows"
address - a sign in front of a house or business carrying the conventional form by which its location is described











-Advertisement:1. The act of advertising2. A notice, such as a poster or a paid announcement in the print, broadcast, or electronic media, designed to attract public attention or patronage.

-Constellation:noun

Astronomy.

1. any of various groups of stars to which definite names have been given, as Ursa Major, Ursa Minor, Boötes, Cancer, Orion.
2. the section of the heavens occupied by such a group.

-ASCII symbols:1. It's a character-encoding scheme. Originally based on the English alphabet, it encodes 128 specifiedcharacters into 7-bit binary integers as shown by the ASCII chart on the right

-Electronic symbols:Electrical symbols and electronic circuit symbols are used for drawing schematic diagram. The symbols represent electrical and electronic component.






-Morse Code: Morse code is a method of transmitting text information as a series of on-off tones, lights, or clicks that can be directly understood by a skilled listener or observer without special equipment.





-American Sign Language:(ASL) - lenguaje manual con su propia sintaxis y gramática usada primordialmente por gente con sordera.







-Glyph:    It's an elemental symbol within an agreed set of symbols, intended to represent a readable character for the purposes of writing and thereby expressing thoughts, ideas and concepts.

                            Putting it All Together

JibJab is a digital media company dedicated to making funny things worth sharing. We’ve been pioneering online entertainment production and distribution since 1999. With the look and feel locked down, and a sense for how we wanted the scene to move, we ran a quick 3D test to make sure that the action worked before we dove into the weeds on the scene. This shot was entirely recreated with 2D software and cut outs once we were comfortable with the movementWhile the motion test was under way, we began building our model so that we could have giant stacks of money reaching up to the heavens. We photographed about 50 bucks scattered over a paper mache mound then cut and colored it in Photoshop.

1. Explain when it is most likely that a design speaks to the emotion of a target observer.

Advertisers have employed emotion to sell products and build trust since the dawn of advertising (sometime around when the fictional world of Mad Menstarted).

The best commercials sell a feeling or an idea more so than an actual product. Chipotle’s Scarecrow is a perfect example of this—the ad is an emotional story that reaches far beyond selling burritos.

2. What elements make up effective web design, and how can artists leverage these tools in their work?

Effective emotional design is also focused on simplicity. Not purely for the sake of aesthetics, but because it is easier to trigger a single emotion response than several.

This means limiting a visitor’s choices to one or a very few options, then leading them there by evoking an emotional response, such as “I need this to solve X” or “This made me laugh so I want to tell my friends about it”.

3. Generally speaking, why is emotionally attractive design relevant to the graphic design artist? Clear and easily understood. This means navigation nomenclature makes sense and any calls to action are logical next steps.

Visually appealing. Design looks professional, consistent and elements of the layout are in expected places.

Enjoyable. The design wants to be looked at, the writing wants to be read and there are cues a visitor wants to follow to further pages.

Memorable. What about the design stands out? Is Unique?

Personal. No pretenses or corporate machinations. It reflects the honest personality of what it represents.

4. Do you agree with the descriptions given that the emotions match the colors, as they are shown on the website? Why or why not?

 Yes, I believe that the descriptions given us a sense of humanity and makes us understand what we can create as human with our emotions using web design.

2. Mr. Webb demonstration:  Open the simplified human models, and parent sections of the body to establish a hierarchy.

3. Animate a 48 frame walk cycle, run cycle, and freestyle animation.

4. Students render a play blast and post to their blog portfolios.
